Mighty Leaf Tea Expands Organic Tea Offerings with New Organic Breakfast
March 2, 2006 (San Rafael, CA) — In response to a growing demand for organic teas, Mighty Leaf Tea Company proudly introduces their new Organic Breakfast blend.
The first of three existing blends transitioning to organic in 2007, Organic Breakfast fulfills the desire for a deep full-bodied black tea that is organic. With an English Breakfast flavor profile, this blend pairs perfectly with milk and honey or sugar. Organic Breakfast now replaces Breakfast Americana in the foodservice boxes, slotted as one of the top five flavors in the Mighty Leaf Tea pouch lineup. The transition to Organic Breakfast in retail boxes will take place July 2007.
According to legend, a 19th century tea master in Edinburgh, Scotland named Drysdale coined the name "Breakfast Tea" as a marketing ploy to sell his blends. The idea spread to England where the popularity of tea drinking soared. Subsequently, tea houses added the term "English" to the name and the classic beverage was born. Organic Breakfast takes teatime to a new level for the consumer practicing an organic way of living.
