Drink To Your Health

Spa Fresh

It's not always easy to eat the 2 - 4 servings of fruit each day that the government's nutrition guidleines recommend. One simple, delicious way to get closer to the quota is to mix up a smoothie, especially now that summer is almost here and luscious fresh fruit is available. For a nutrition-packed snack, all you need is a blender. You can combine any fruits and juices that strike your fancy, but why ot get your creative juices flowing with these easy recipes.

For each recipe, combine all the ingredients in a blender and puree until smooth. You can use fresh or frozen fruit. Frozen fruit yields a creamier texture, and to get the same result with fresh fruit, add a quarter cup of ice. Each recipe makes one serving.
