Summer Baths!

In the summer, most people don't think about the benefits of a great bath. Those are the people missing out on some re-energizing, and refreshing enjoyment: There are 2 great bathing techniques for the hot months of the year: HOT & COOL.

HOT baths have been important for centuries in that they release toxins that can cool the internal body temperature. COOL baths can truly feel refreshing and exhilarating. Remember playing outside all day as a child, and your mom making you take a bath before bedtime? You never admitted to your mom that it felt great and it really did cool you down and made sleeping that much better. As adults, we sometimes forgot the simple pleasure of relaxing in a large tub, sipping our favorite fruity drink, and maybe reading a great summer novel. Don't have time you say? Did you know that as little as 10 minutes will cool your internal core temperature, open your pores and make you feel refreshed.

IDEAS: There are so many ideas that we could start listing but we don't have that much room! So we've put together just a few to get your creative thoughts flowing.

MILK BATH: Milk, with proteins, calcium, and vitamins have natural beauty- enhancing properties and is easily absorbed by the skin, leaving it smooth and moisturized. One of Body Systems' great new milk baths, the Citrus Milk Bath has added lemon peel to stimulate the circulatory system and lemon & orange essential oils to add a wonderful luxuriant aroma to the refreshing treatment. Maybe the idea of bathing in a sea of roses is more your idea of luxury? Try Body Systems' Roses Milk Bath. Made with Rosewood essential oil to aid in skin blemishes and acne (perfect for this time of year) but more importantly, made with real red Rose Petals. They hydrate the skin and provide a luxurious soak fit for a queen (or king!)

BATH TEA: For a detoxifying and aromatic experience, try our invigorating Herbal Bath Tea bags. Just toss one of the tea bags into your bath and soak. With oatmeal to soothe irritated skin that can occur from being outside, and with Epsom salts to relieve tired muscles that maybe overdid it during the day, the natural herbs create a tingling sensation that is refreshing and relaxing.

Whatever bath you decide upon, remember that a great bath does not need to take up alot of time or effort. Decide on a warm bath to remove toxins or a cool bath to lower internal core temperature. Either way, be creative and add some great ingredients to re-energize or simple soothe summer skin.
